Noise Levels

Each console has it's own characteristics. So the only way you're going to find what's best for you is to try some different types of media.

'Noise' levels in relation to each other are generally determined by the qual of media.

Burnt games will always be noiser then originals because the laser has to work harder, as no recordable media with have as much reflectivity as an original.

A DVD R works by replacing the aluminum layer in a normal Disk with an organic dye compound. This compound is normally reflective, but when the laser focuses on a spot and heats it to a certain temperature, it "burns" the dye, causing it to darken. When you want to retrieve the data you wrote to the DVD R, the laser moves back over the disc and thinks that each burnt spot is a bump.

WiiKey Utilities & Updates

1) download the image for the update make sure its the Correct Region! (1.9g is The latest. This should already be installed on your Wii if it was modded By Sonic Identity. When a new update is relesed I will put a link here)
2) Burn it at 4x on a DVD-R
3) Run the update ... you can use the RESET button on the Wii, instead of the A button on a GC controller
4) The update will run Twice (first a TEST, then the REAL thing) ... at the end you should hear Homer's voice.        That's it!

The Third is a torrent downloader.  justt install the torrent downloader (that is if you don't already have one) after it is installed. when you dubble click on a torrent file it will be added to the torrent download list then wait for it to be downloaded. Unzip the download then follow the update instructions bellow.

So whats in the update?

This fixes the issue with original Super Smash Bros Brawl discs not working and it should also no longer be possible to render the chip inoperable by using patched config discs. A new config option to block system updates from DVD is also supported.
