Notes.

Eliza Amelia Mooney (Chappell) appears to have been known as Amelia. This was possibly to avoid confusion with her elder sister, Elizabeth.

At the time Eliza Amelia CHAPPELL married George MOONEY (1901), Eliza gives her age as 21 years, and is resident at 54 Meadow St.
Eliza gives her fathers name as Joseph John CHAPPELL, and her fathers occupation as a Spinner.
George gives his age as 21 years, is resident at 50 Meadow St., and is a Clerk.
George gives his fathers name as William MOONEY, and his fathers occupation as a Laborer.

In the 1901 England Census, a John Bradley Shaw and family, resided at 54 Meadow St.
It appears Eliza may have been a boarder at this address prior to her marriage.
Likewise her husband, George, may have been a boarder at 50 Meadow St., the residence of Joseph Beswick and family.

In the 1901 England Census (taken on night 31 Mar.), Amelia Mooney and her husband, George Mooney, are resident at 21 Baslow St. Bradford, North Manchester.

Harry stated his address was 1411 Heves Ave.Linwood, Pennsylvania.
They both stated their destination was Linwood, Pa.

Eliza and her two children, Amelia and Joseph, sailed from Liverpool, 6 Apr.1929, on the Scythia, arriving New York.
Eliza was described as hair brown, eyes hazel, born Beswick, last address Manchester, and 49 years old.
She gives her father as Mr.J.Chappell, of 18 Conway St.Beswick.
Eliza was also recorded as having Medium Level Defective Vision, Blind in the Left Eye.
Amelia was described as hair fair, eyes blue, born Manchester, last address Manchester, and 21 years old.
Joseph was described as hair fair, eyes blue, born Manchester, last address Manchester, and 17 years old.
Eliza stated their destination was her husbands & friend, Mr.H.Dodd, 1411 Heves Ave.Linwood, Pa.

In the 1930 USA Census, Eliza is living her husband, George, and their two children, at Dora St.North Providence, Rhode Island.
Both George and Eliza state they were married at 21 years of age.
All state they emigrated to the USA in 1929 and are aliens.

The Great Depression may have prompted their return to England.

William stated he is aged 29 years, and his father is James GREEN.
