In 1936, Emma Carter, and her husband, James Carter, joined Emmas brother, Joseph John Chappell, at 58 Leach St. Salem, Massachusetts.
The Carters sailed on the Franconia, departing Liverpool, and arriving Boston, 21 Jun.1936.
James and Emma stated their ages were 58 and 60 years respectively.
James gave his occupation as a Millwright.
The Carters also stated their nearest relative was their son, F.Carter, of 20 Rainow Ave. Droylsden Manchester England.
