Notes.
I have yet to find the marriage of Henry (Hartley) Budd to Mary Ann.
Although a Henry Hartley married a Mary Ann HEYS, 8 Jun.1829, Manchester Cathedral.
There would be little information recorded as the marriage preceded Civil Registration (1837).
In the 1841 England Census (taken on night 6 Jun.), Henry (Hartley) Budd, his wife, Mary Ann (Hartley) Budd and four children are resident at 48 Long St. Manchester.
Also resident in Long St. is Henry (Hartley) Budd brothers family, John (Hartley) Budd and family.

In a 1841 Directory of Manchester, a Henry Hartley is recorded as a Boiler Maker at 24 Long St. Ancoats.
I could not find Henry (Hartley) Budd and family in the 1851 England Census.
But it must be remembered, that part of the 1851 Manchester Census was water damaged, due to a flood.
In the 1856 letter from John Budd in Manchester to his brother, William Hartley Budd in Australia, John writes:
Our Brother Henry is at present out of work but he is getting a living by going amongst the Brokers he has a wife and four Children but they are rather short of work at present but they are all in good health.
In the 1861 England Census (taken on night 2 Apr.), Henry (Hartley) Budd, his wife, Mary Ann (Hartley) Budd, and one son are resident at 11 St.Thomas St. Ancoats Manchester.
The daughter, Mary Ann, is resident with her fathers sister-in-law, Mary (Hartley) Budd, who is widowed, and her five children, at 58 Newcastle St. Hulme Manchester.
