Both give their place of residence as 33 Canal Street.

A Margaret Shelton is buried (19 Apr.1882) in the Philips Park Cemetery, Manchester. Died aged 75 years, Prestwich.
I could not find James (Hartley) Budd, his wife, Mary Ann (Hartley) Budd and family in the 1891 England Census or subsequent England Censuses.
The family emigrated to the USA in 1883, departing Liverpool on board the Batavia, arriving Boston, 9 Oct.1883, leaving behind in England, the eldest son, Henry, who had married Annie Wain (1881).
The family consisted of the parents and six children, which included, James, Elizabeth, Mary E, Sarah J, Ruth and William.
James stated his occupation as a Labourer.
It is unknown why all the familys ages were understated ?
It is said that James died in England in a Train accident.
A James Budd, returned to England, arriving Liverpool (6 Mar.1892), aboard the Etruria from New York.
A James Budd is buried (18 Apr.1892), in a public grave in the Philips Park Cemetery, Manchester.
His Death Certificate states the name and surname etc.are unknown, but was corrected by the Registry Registrar (19 May 1892), to James Budd, aged 54 years, and a Boilermaker.
He was found dead on the Railway (13 Apr.1892), his body having been cut in two by a Railway Engine or train passing over him, on the Down Slow Line, New Monsall Rd.Bridge, Newton Manchester.
An Inquest was held by the Coroner on 19 Apr.1892.

A MAN FOUND CUT IN TWO ON THE RAILWAY.
This morning about five oclock a signalman found the dead body of a man on the Lancashire and Yorkshire railway near Monsall Road bridge at Newton Heath.
The individual, whose identity has not yet been discovered, had been completely cut in two by a passing train.
He was blind of one eye and apparently about forty years of age.
Thursday 14 April 1892.
THE SHOCKING DISCOVERY ON THE RAILWAYS AT NEWTON HEATH.
The deputy city coroner, Mr Smelt, held an inquest today touching the death of a man unknown who had been found shockingly mutilated on the railway.
Early yesterday morning the driver of a passenger train signalled the Thorpes Bride signal cabin near Monsall, that there was an obstruction , and a mans body was found completely cut in two.
There were no boots on the feet, but a pair, together with a hat, were found on a bridge a short distance away.
The remains were taken to Willert street mortuary and has not yet been identified.
The following description is furnished by the police: Height 5ft 6ins.: black hair and moustache; blind in the left eye. He was wearing a black diagonal cloth coat dotted over with satin spots, and vests and trousers of a grey tweed mixture.
The jury returned an open.
In a 1893 City Directory of Lawrence Massachusetts, a Mary A.Budd, widow of James, is living at 213 Chestnut St.
In the 1900 USA Census, Mary A.Budd (widowed), is living with her unmarried son, William, at 81 Broadway, Methuen, Co.Essex, Massachusetts.
Mary appears to be running a boarding house, which she is renting.
There are also two boarders.
Mary states she has had nine children, but there are only six living.
Mary also states both her parents were born in Ireland and that she emigrated to the USA in 1883.
