Joseph stated he was 24 years old, unmarried, occupation a Bleacher, and his last residence was Beswick.
He stated his intended address was his home, 84 Washington St. Peabody Massachusetts.
Also he had come to the USA, 2 & 1/2 years previously, in 1900.
A Joe Chappell sailed from Liverpool, 25 Sept.1900, on the Ivernia, bound for Boston.
He is 24 years old, unmarried, and a Bleacher.
A Jonathan Chappell sailed from Liverpool, on the Iowa, arriving Boston, 21 Apr.1890.
Jonathan stated he was 56 years old, unmarried, occupation a Spinner, and his intended destination was Boston.
He also stated his intended to seek permanent residence in the USA.

In 1936, Josephs sister, Emma Carter, and her husband, James Carter, joined Joseph at 58 Leach St. Salem Mass.
The Carters sailed from Liverpool, on the Franconia, arriving Boston, 21 Jun 1936.
Emma and James stated their ages were 60 and 58 years respectively.
James gave his occupation as a Millwright.
The Carters also stated their nearest relative was their son, F.Carter, of 20 Rainow Ave. Droylsden Manchester England.
After a short stay in the USA, the Carters returned home to England, sailing from Boston on the Samaria, arriving Liverpool, 17 Aug.1936.
Their proposed address in England, was 29 Church St. Manchester.
Joseph appears to have retired back to England, sailing from New York on the Brazil, arriving Southampton, 24 Jul.1946.
He stated he was aged 69 years, retired, and his intended permanent residence was 5 Station Rd. Heastbank Lancashire (near Lancaster).
I suspect Joseph retired to his sisters, Emma, in 1946, at Hestbank, as Emma & James Carter, both died in 1948, their deaths registered at Lancaster.
However Joseph sailed from Southampton, 11 Jan.1947, on the Queen Elizabeth, arriving New York, 17 Jan.1947.
He gave his address in the USA as 58 Leach St.Salem Massachussets and stated he was naturalised, 24 Oct.1906 in Salem.
In the 1910 USA Census, Bertha (yet to marry) is living with her unmarried brother, Howard, at 46 Leach St. Salem, Co.Essex, Massachusetts.
