In the 1841 and 1851 British Censuses the WASLEY family was living in Andrews Street.
In 1844 George WASLEY was the innkeeper of the Red Lion, cnr of St Andrews Street (burned down in 1898 after being a private residence). In the 1861 Census George WASLEY, a farmer, age 64 was living with his second wife Elizabeth age 64, in Porthminster. (Rosemary Irving)
In 1883-1891 George WASLEY was the innkeeper of The Sloop, on the waterfront.
