Introduction

As you may have already guessed, my name is Stacy and this is my website. I have refrained from adding bandwidth-guzzlers such as Java applets and animated GIFs to this site, simply because I don't have the time to find or make them! These pages replace my former site, as I have moved to a new account with Webaxs. If you have ever seen my old site, you will know that I am not very fond of regular updates! For the record, the last time I updated my old site was on 29th April 1997...

Who am I??!!

For those who don't know me, I am a second year science/engineering student at the University of Melbourne in Australia. I live in Geelong, a city in southeastern Australia with a population of around 140,000.

My main hobby is building electronic devices, some of which have practical uses :-). Rapidly filling my cupboards are devices such as a Jacob's Ladder based on a TV flyback transformer, a laser light show, a beat triggered strobe light, and various FM "bugs" or transmitters. I'll admit now that I don't design any of these; I buy them as kits from a number of different suppliers and build them this way. Most of these devices are covered on my electronics pages.
