FRUIT AND
NUT TREE
VARIETIES |
|
This page lists
fruit and nut trees that
the author grows. It is not meant as a
complete list of all fruit and nut trees varieties available. As you can see this
part of the website is still very much under construction. Hopefully
it will eventually list a dozen or more fruit and nut tree varieties. |

Feijoa |
Hardy shrub
that produces a round to elongated pear shaped fruit five to ten
centimetres 2 to 4 inches long. It has an unusual flavour,
having a bitter sweet taste which I can only describe as like a
tropical fruit salad. It needs a relatively cool climate to set
fruit and can withstand quite heavy frosts.
